Gen9 1/10 Scale Trail Truck

The Gen9 offers limitless potential as an RTR trail truck. Our focus on precision and detail is evident in features such as a two speed transmission, newly designed portal axles, and zero bump steer suspension geometry. Additionally, the truck boasts high grip tires, a high torque steering servo, and adjustable wheelbase, all complemented by a highly detailed body with a rear pivot mounting design.

The Gen9 features an intricately designed International Scout 800A body, accurately molded in three pieces for a lifelike interior. Its internal bracing and rear locking pivot mechanism, equipped with dual quarter turn fasteners, ensure secure installation and effortless removal. Furthermore, the injection molded plastic rock sliders neatly integrate with the body's sides to reduce snagging on rough terrain. This body also boasts numerous injection molded plastic details, adding to its unique and distinctive appearance.

The interior boasts an injection-molded dash, seats, pedals, shifters, door levers, window cranks, removable steering wheel, and an added turn signal lever on the steering column. The exterior features an injection-molded roll cage, rock sliders, bumpers, side view mirrors, door handles, windshield wipers, front grill, headlight buckets, and taillight buckets. This body is meticulously crafted with attention to detail.

The Gen9 has been designed to accept 14 LED lights out of the box. While the lights are sold separately, there’s a spot for two dash lights, four headlights, two taillights, two reverse lights, and four rock lights located inside the fender wells. All the mounting hardware is included, so it’ll be a breeze to set the Gen9 up for night time crawling.

The Gen9 model features a dual-speed transmission that offers tremendous versatility on various types of terrain. The first gear offers precise control over tough obstacles, while the second gear enables the driver to speed through trails at twice the pace. Switching gears is a simple task with the included transmitter's button. Its robust construction boasts a 32P spur gear and a lockable adjustable slipper clutch. The transmission, transfer case, and portal axles all boast MOD1 internal gears for exceptional durability. Additionally, the front-mounted 550 size brushed motor and the segregated transfer case provide optimal weight distribution..

We’ve gone overboard and installed a very powerful steering servo in the Gen9. The new Hexfly Torque-Spec coreless digital steering servo is mounted to a 1.5mm steel C-channel chassis and is designed specifically for trail crawling. Using the stock ESC, The Torque-Spec servo provides an impressive 25Kg of steering authority right out the box. If upgraded to an 8.4V BEC power system, this servo is capable of an amazing 42Kg of steering torque. That’s a lot of steering power. Unlike many RTR trail trucks on the market, even if you plan on replacing the power system one day, there is absolutely no need to upgrade this steering servo.

The Gen9 model features innovative portal axles and a customized panhard bar to eliminate bump steer and axle sway, resulting in improved vehicle control and the ability to take more accurate lines. In addition, the portal axles provide increased ground clearance without the need for larger tires. Unlike traditional axle shaft driven trail trucks, the GEN9 has a reduced amount of chassis torque twist due to the majority of gear reduction occurring within the portal axles. These new portal axles offer a remarkable 54.5mm of ground clearance and boast metal gear covers, metal wheel hexes, CNC machined spools, and captured shock mounts.

These new universal style axles have a one piece front housing and they provide loads of steering and durability. They are much stronger than previous axle designs and may be the strongest axles we’ve built yet.

The Gen9 is equipped with true-to-scale Interco SS M-16 tires and functional beadlock wheels, providing optimal performance on even the toughest terrains. With an aggressive tread pattern and high-grip compound, these tires are perfect for crawling and trail riding at faster speeds. Unlike other trail trucks, the Gen9's tires are durable and designed to last, saving hobbyists the hassle of frequent replacements.

The M-16 tires are mounted onto a beadlock rim with both inner and outer aluminum rings, providing strength and secure tire holding. A customized look can be achieved with interchangeable plastic rings that fit over the functional metal beadlock ring, while still maintaining top performance. The Gen9 is designed to effortlessly conquer large obstacles and steep inclines, all while looking impressive in the process. With 80mm of chassis ground clearance, a 63.5 degree approach angle, and a 53 degree departure angle, the Gen9 surpasses its competitors by completing obstacles that would otherwise impede their progress.
