The Team Associated RC8B4e is a fresh platform for 1/8th E-buggy racing and with it came several features including a narrower platform. The design team at JConcepts spent considerable time evaluating the chassis layout and how to incorporate the championship winning S15 body to the vehicle.
The S15 blends performance features from the popular Silencer body with features such as mid-body winglets and rear stabilizer kick-up. The roof of the body remains strong with the upper fin in position for stability and tracking ability. Since the chassis platform has a variety of battery position possibilities, the rear side-pods have been raised for more clearance to accommodate a tall shorty battery as well as the kit recommended saddle pack layout.
The front and rear body mount area is cleanly designed and allows for a drop-fit on the Team Associated RC8B4e model. The narrowed S15 concept uses heavily chamfered side-pods made popular by JConcepts heritage designs. In the front of the body, trim lines are indicated which can be opened by the user to help generate airflow into the shell. A standard front nose cone is included for the front of the buggy which can remain clear or painted to match.
